Though his olfactory sense is no longer heightened, smell remains an important indicator of identity for Matt. For my reference, I ask that anyone threading with him please give me some idea of what their character smells like, though obviously he won't notice any particularly subtle scents unless he's standing quite close.

Just Britta for now, as I am too sleepy to think through all of them — soap, a hint of goat (that's the perils of raising one, but he lives in the yard), sweat, sunscreen (she's learned the hard way to slather it on because she's fair and she burns easy), coffee, leather (either from a jacket on cooler days/by the ocean or from ballet flats). She lives more inland, so if they're not on the beach where, of course, the salt water smell is everywhere, then she probably doesn't smell as strongly of that as, say, Jeff, who lives on the shore.
